I love getting my magazine subscriptions in the mail, especially when I find new sources for design items! Lately, I've seen a few quirky tables with chairs that disappear into the design. I have to say that The Cocktail Party cocktail table and chairs from Society Social is pretty much the bee's knees. Coming from a gal in a small living space, I love the idea of a multifunctional piece like this. AND it comes in 11 high gloss paint finishes!!!

I. am. in. love......with this bathroom designed by Sarah Luhtala of Warren Red:
The bathroom was featured in the November House Beautiful, but we only got a peek at this room...I found pictures of the rest of the home & it's just as lovely:

If I had the money, I would have purchased a piece I am absolutely MAD about!...What is it you ask? Only the most B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L cobalt blue lacquered antique French commode with silver decorative corner plates. I'm drooling just thinking about it! Silly me, I didn't even take the time to snap a picture and it's all I can think about today. Oh well, here are some of my favorite lacquered chests from 1stdibs........

I was browsing through my blogroll today and spent quite a bit of time over at Velvet and Linen. Among the many exciting things happening over there, I LOVED the pic Brooke posted of the burlap upholstered walls from the amazing-looking store, Boxwoods Gardens & Gifts. I love the idea of using rope to add some architectural detailing. I'm putting that idea in my back pocket for later use ;-).
Love the idea!

I've always thought that whoever is in charge of Anthropologie's merchandise displays is spankin' brilliant. Oh...and I want to be their best friend. I remember the first of their window displays I ever saw-they had constructed a huge arch out of old books and it was so whimsical! Here are a few of my other favorite windows...
Cut out from books!
Tea bags :-)
More creative uses for books...

As a graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design, I'm a bit biased, but I love seeing the projects that emerge from their Working Class Studio. Through this venture, SCAD students are able to create innovative concepts in product design and then see them come to life. Check their website out here for more information. Here are a few gems I love:
Puffy Frames: Designed by Ashley Olson, these poofy wonders can add whimsy to a family photo, artwork, or even a mirror.
Tucker Lamp: Designed by Tucker Waugh, this acrylic lamp plays on positive and negative space and suggests the silhouette of a traditional table lamp, while adding a modern flare.
Wrought Irony dishes (can I tell you how much I love the name of this collection!): A collection of melamine tableware with bright designs inspired by ironwork.
It's always fun to see what they'll come up with next at SCAD!

Ok...all Katy Perry references aside, I keep seeing the fanciful bird references everywhere! I also can't get that song out of my head, so maybe the queen of candy lingerie has brainwashed us all. Oh, what I would do with a peacock inspired design....

I've been looking into rugs lately and I keep going back again and again to Dash & Albert's cheeky website! Their rugs are so simple, cute, and most importantly SUPER affordable. If you're looking for a great striped rug, D & A has 125 striped patterns that would be adorable additions to any room. Ever since I saw Vanilla Sky in person, I'm sold on that pattern.
They also have matching throw pillows and blankets :-)
Gotta love the classic Blue Awning Stripe
And last but not least, this cheery pattern called Sunflower Ticking

If I were a size 4, I would SOOO wear these lovelies...with oxfords....and a fedora....but I'm NOT a size 4 and pleated shorts just look a little silly. Plus, I don't want to end up lookin like one of the victims of "people of Wal-Mart", with my junk hangin out covered in cheetos and bad tats!
Tangent much? Check these out here

Lately, I've been looking into updating my office supplies. I really love the accessories from See Jane Work. I feel WAY more productive when my file folders color coordinate :-) and their products are so colorful and fun! Here's what's on my wish list.....
